I have been a clinical therapist and social worker for over 30 years. I have seen the strengths and limitations of traditional, office based therapy. It works for many, and not so well for many too. Horses for Healing incorporates a whole different set of elements - horses, the outdoors, etc. - which opens up entirely new possibilities of connection, communication, empathy, vulnerability and unique community. I have seen it work magic for a full range of individuals - children, adolescents, adults, families. I have also seen it open me up to be a more aware, creative and motivated therapist.
