Wow!

What an education. I knew I needed to do something different the day I lost it with my 2-year-old because they would not get on the train to go to school. I was stressed and overwhelmed with battling them on every little thing day after day, for months on end.

As soon as I found this approach I felt relief. These tools felt calm, and they offered more understanding about why my child was so angry, defiant and unhappy than anything else i'd found. I got ways to warm our relationship, which have increased our connection and led to communication.

Perhaps even better is that now I know what the defiance really means, and what I can do to support my child through those tough moments so that we are not constantly fighting. In fact. this has helped me set boundaries and expectations that serve us well, and helped us build a relationship founded on understanding, trust, and fun!

We actually laugh a lot now the stress and worry is left. We feel deeply connected and I can see and shine a light on my child's particular gifts.

This is night and day from how we used to be. I don't believe I could have ever achieved this without Hand in Hand Parenting. It's become a daily practice I feel warm in my heart knowing my kids will pass on this way of parenting.
