Twice a day I use The Vest machine that percusses me, helping my lungs stay as clear of sputum as is possible. My alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency is kept fairly well under control with the added benefit of a weekly infusion of Aralast. Due to my post polio fatigue, a nurse comes to my home to administer this infusion.
