I first read Brother Andrew's book, God's Smuggler in the 1980s. I was astonished to find out the scope and the level of persecution of Christian Believers that was happening around the world. My wife and I were both moved to pray for our persecuted Brothers and Sisters in Christ, but also to give financially to Brother Andrew's Open Doors ministry monthly, which we continue to do now here in 2022. It is extremely encouraging to read the accounts, reports, and testimonies from Believers of how Open Doors and partners are providing assistance and encouragement to persecuted Christians around the World. Open Doors is about how we can PRAY for the persecuted Church, but it is also about how we can help (give) for specific needs, and in many cases, see and hear how God is working through our prayers and gifts. God's Word says that all who live godly lives will suffer persecution, 2 Timothy 3:12.
We, who currently live in freedom to practice our faith should pray 🙏🏻 and give as generously as we are able, while we still have our liberties...keeping in mind that some day we may not have them.
