I have used hand-in-hand parenting since my son was one 1.5 years old; now he is 8. ONE of ghe most useful toola utilized was "separation anxiety," when I became a divorcee.
My daughter, whom is 5 years old, needed redirecting when it came to biting, i had the confidence and tools on how to get her to stop without using punishment.
Both my children are able to communicate, before there is a melt down, that they want/need special time!!!! Which keeps our relationship strong and close.

The books, though they be but little, they are fierce.
(They hold a wealth of information and tools. Don't underestimate their size. Consequently, the information will also help you look at yourself and your inner struggles.
