The Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, 90 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, Ohio has an abundance (and sometimes an overabundance) of the most beautiful and loving pets you will ever find. This organization is comprised of Staff, Volunteers, and Board Members whose only goal is for the shelter pets to get excellent care and to find them the right home. The shelter is located in a lovely location with the most beautiful scenery you will ever find. It's a perfect place for volunteers to walk the dogs to give them fresh air and a nice break. The cats also receive the best of care, and often you will find volunteers comforting them. If I had to choose what touches my heart most - beyond seeing a dog or cat be adopted into a lifelong, loving home - is the excitement and happiness the Staff, Volunteers, and Board feel when they know that a pet is walking out the shelter doors and into a good home. If you are looking for a pet, please consider the many wonderful pets at the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley. The shelter is exceptionally clean and arranged so nicely.
