I’ve been a volunteer baker (aka Sugar Angel) for a few years now. I have ran a home bakery business and was working at a Children’s Hospital in pediatric oncology research when I came across Icing Smiles. I was so excited to find an organization that bridged 2 of my passions - making cakes, and caring for sick kids. I’ve had the opportunity to bake several cakes, and every single one has had a huge impact on me. A cake seems like such a simple thing, but seeing a child’s face light up makes it mean so much!
