I 've recently learned of the effective advocacy for animal welfare that "Animal Place" provides. In addition to physically keeping on their premises the unprotected sentient creatures that do not qualify as "companion animals" , they have extensive outreach programs in education, advocacy, and ways to donate either monetarily or volunteer/employment (time and/or treasures). A noteworthy organization well deserving of support by those compassionate in providing humane treatment and living conditions for animals
