This charity attracts the most loving, giving and talented people. As a chapter coordinator and a blanketeer I know that all sorts of children are recipients. Crises have no socio-economic, race, gender, or any other dividers. Kids all get hurt, get sick or have a family emergency. All sorts of kids will need the comfort of a blanket, and it is so much better when the love shines through a handmade blanket. These are usually made by someone who doesn't even know the child-- they just love children and they love to use their talents to share with someone else. Linus Van Pelt set the example that blankets offer security and it is perfectly acceptable to wrap yourself in a blanket when feeling kind of low. When you are feeling better this same blanket might be a tent, a cape or a magic carpet. Time for me to sew on another blanket!
