Westlake MOW changes lives - whether it’s the lives of our recipients, the lives of our volunteers or the lives of our staff. I started volunteering as a driver at the onset of the COVID pandemic and have since transitioned to a member of the kitchen team. I know we are making a difference in the lives of our recipients by providing delicious, house made, nutritious meals while also creating an opportunity for a little social interaction as well as a wellness check. The less obvious difference is the enrichment and satisfaction we also provide our volunteers. Helping others “feeds” our souls. I am proud of the food we are providing our recipients and have made some great friends while doing it. I am so happy to be a part of this organization. The satisfaction I get from doing the work I do has changed me.
