We had a great experience adopting from Operation Paws for Homes. At first, response was slow, but once I learned more about how all the animals are rescued from other states, matched with fosters, and that there is no shelter for them, it made sense.

The application process was very thorough, which was great because it helped ensure the right match for us and our adopted dog. It is clear that OPH wants all their rescues to find successful FUR-ever homes.

We also did a phone interivew and the OPH volunteer answered all of our questions. OPH also sent several helpful links to get us prepared for adopting and bringing a new dog into our home.

Finally, we met our dog with his foster and she spent a lot of time with us to answer final questions, give us all the proper documentation, and make sure that we were comfortable taking him home.

After adoption, OPH followed up to check in and was very helpful when we had questions. I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful organization!
