Just One Africa hosted my first ever overseas mission trip and they managed this newby's experience beautifully! From the moment I said 'yes' to God calling me to Kenya, Amy and Clay guided our team graciously through each pre-trip step, to greeting us upon arrival to this beautiful country, to facilitating connections with new friends, to their example of absorbing every blessing God had waiting for us in service. With their experience, confidence, and wisdom, we had no fear, we were in good hands.
Since that first trip, I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel two more times, each time with the guidance of Amy and Clay. Through our trips we have built loving relationships with the children and staff of Valley Light, made friendships with the teachers of Pisgah Heights through collaborative discussions for improving classroom experiences, and poured into the community with the many ways John and Leah selflessly serve their neighbors.
Although we came to Kenya to serve and work where God leads, we never left without gaining so much more from experiencing the beauty of their country and the kindness of their citizens. I am thankful for Amy and Clay and am truly moved by the love and care they do through their organization. Praying for them and the team of people God continues to surround them with to further His Kingdom!
