The Ness County Bank Building is an icon for Ness City in SW Kansas. The building is used both as a tourist attraction and by the community for events, weddings, family reunions, and much more. Built in 1886, the building was called the Skyscraper of the Plains, being it was the largest and grandest building from Topeka, KS to Denver, CO at that time. The Ness County Bank Building is supported only by donations and memorials.
