My first impression of Backpack Society was how easy it was to sign up to become a volunteer as the website is very user-friendly and informative. You even receive a reminder email of your upcoming volunteer commitment. My second impression was how welcoming and organized Backpack Society is. June took the time to give me a tour upon my first visit to BPS and explained how the food bank worked, and I've been hooked ever since. To work at the food bank has its own rewards of knowing you are supplying families with healthy and nutritious food to feed them for the week, and the families are always grateful for this service. The bonus is the other volunteers are a pleasure to work with. Everyone is hard-working, pleasant and happy to be part of such a meaningful organization.
