I have volunteered here for three years.. It is totally staffed by 100+ volunteers who are passionate about cats and their well-being. The shelter is in a house which is cheerfully decorated and immaculate. The cats' well-being is carefully monitored, and the Adoption team is very selective when evaluating a potential adopter, making sure the cat and individual/family are a good match and educating them if they've never had a cat. The adopter must agree to never de-claw a cat or keep them outdoors, provide regular veterinary care and return them to the shelter if they can no longer keep the cat. Also, if the person is a renter, it must be verified that they are allowed to have a cat. Volunteering here is a highlight of my week!
