I was part of the team as a bilingual advocate for approximately 3 years and being able to serve survivors, was the highlight of my career. To this day I carry the stories in my heart and ensure that in my current role systems are in place to prevent sexual violence. VSC is a school of life, with the ability to display the reality of life, but also enforce how strong survivors are. I learned that healing is a reciprocal process where by creating a safe space we allow for growth but most importantly cherish the seed of hope. I have much respect, admiration and appreciation for all staff who works daily through the challenges of eradicating the outcomes of violence. I can attest that social change starts at VSC but it takes a community to continue granting better quality of life to those served. #ForEverAnAdvocate ❤️ -RA
