I've been a volunteer at this organization for over two years and I intend to stay for a long time. This organization is so dedicated to its mission and I have had the best experiences there as a volunteer. The staff is incredible, and I have learned so much. This organization is amazing, and I love supporting them and volunteering.
I have been a proud supporter of Victim Service Center of Central Florida for the past few years. I connect with organizations who do valuable work in the community and are responsible with its resources. Victim Service Center embodies the very best of non-profit organizations. The tireless dedication of the team at VSC is inspiring and encouraging, knowing that our community members have this organization to serve as a safe haven in the midst of unspeakable trauma and pain. The Victim Service center provides a safe no cost place for people to get therapy to heal from traumatic events. Not only current events, but also events that happened long ago in their lives. The average person hold in the trauma they have experienced for years before realizing that they need to face it head on. Help offered can be one to one meetings, group meetings or classes that have activities. The staff cares here and they find joy in helping people heal.
Justa short "Note of Thanks" to the Victim Service Center (VSC) for the outstanding work they perform each and every day! Having worked in Law Enforcement for 28 years... I truly observed firsthand the professional care and dedication they provided to victims of horrific crimes. The Victim Service Center has touched so many lives during the most difficult times and has an incredible, talented and well-trained staff!
The Victim Service Center offers a variety of therapy and support groups. Survivors are able to find quality therapy by qualified therapists that works best for their needs. Aside from individual and group therapy, the Center offers other types of therapy like a gardening support group, yoga, ballet, etc. These services are offered free of charge to survivors so that they can focus on healing rather than being stressted out how they are going to pay.
Before I joined the Board, I had the privilege of attending their annual gala, where I met many of the therapists and individuals who support the organization. One of the therapists gave me their contact information and encouraged me to reach out if I ever needed to connect with someone at the organization. Until then, I had never knowingly met a sexual assault survivor. Just three weeks later, someone confided in me about their recent trauma. With their permission, I immediately contacted the therapist, who connected them with all the necessary resources. That individual has since overcome the incident but might never have sought help without that connection. The way everything aligned felt like a sign, and I took it as a cue to accept the position on the board that was offered to me.
This organization has helped so many people in its community and a few that I know of personally. The team is committed to helping victims and doing it in an expeditious manner. There really isn't many resources for victims so this organization really satisfies a very important need in the Central Florida area.

I have received therapy on and off for the past 7 years at VSC. Every person I have come across at VSC has been so supportive and amazing. The consistent support I receive has saved my life. As a survivor of childhood SA, it is difficult to navigate through life with intense trauma. The resources that I have been provided with have been essential to my healing process. I am so grateful for VSC and the it's therapists. They have been such a vital part of my growth as a person and survivor. I recommend VSC to any survivor that needs help.
I am a regular attendee of the yoga group and also participated in the emotions through motion dance group. Genuinely… both have been essential to my healing and have made me feel more grounded in my day to day. Brandi is a ray of light and always so kind, accommodating, and helpful. VSC is an essential nonprofit and I am so thankful it exists.

They use creative ways to educate and inform the community about victim rights and resources through Lunch and Learns, presentations, exhibits, and events. The Victim Service Center staff is available 24/7 and does an exceptional job responding to and helping crime victims heal and navigate the criminal justice system, which can be overwhelming and daunting for the victim. The staff has established and maintains positive and productive relationships with law enforcement, the State Attorney's Offices, and the courts. Approaching a year of volunteering with the VSC has me reflecting on my experience and the knowledge I've gained thus far. The staff is compassionate, empowering, and inspiringly dedicated to their mission. A bunch of great people working incredibly hard to come together as a crucial system of support and resources. Along with providing necessary services to survivors, the VSC is an instigator of education and destigmatization that extends past the surrounding communities. Seeking help is scary and confusing! I think the VSC does an exemplary job of making that process easier.
The Victim Service Center is an amazing organization. The staff and team are incredibly professional and compassionate. It's been an honor to serve as Past Chair and I remain on the board of directors because of the meaningful work.
Since I started my service over 15 years ago, it's been great to see the evolution of the organization from just serving Orange County to now serving three counties in Central Florida. The expansion into counseling allows us the VSC serve former victims. Of note, one of our client's sent in a thank you letter to our team after receiving counseling decades after being victimized and said due to our team and counseling services the person wakes up everyday to live life instead of dreading life. This speaks volumes of the countless lives the VSC is able to improve due to our specialized services supporting victims of sexual assault and traumatic events.
The people, knowledge and endless compassion make this haven a local gem. Our community is lucky to have VSC. They bring hope when people need it the most. Truly honored to be a small part of this organization.
This nonprofit organization is essential to my family as it has been an excellent resource for us through difficult times.
I have partnered on research with Victim Service Center of Central Florida (VSC) for the past four years. Although they are already a great organization in meeting the needs of their clients and providing education in the community, they are always working to improve and draw on actual evidence of what they are doing well or could do better so that anyone in our central Florida communities can easily access their services. I wish all organizations would do that!
I continue to be impressed but the services VCS offers and how they are impacting our community, The work they do is amazing.
I support the Victim Service Center of Central Florida because they provide support services to the members of our community who need it most. They are truly a local treasure.

As an SVU detective I found the collaboration with our Central Florida Victim Service Center to be integral to the process of seeking justice for those wronged in these crimes. From the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners who work well with the Detectives in preparing for their examinations and obtaining/packaging evidence, to the Victim Advocates who also work with law enforcement in resolving immediate need issues for the victims they serve. This organization additionally never hesitates to support training to law enforcement as part of a bigger picture in serving their community. They should be commended for their efforts in our society.
As a client, the services I received were not only integral to the successful prosecution of my case, but to my path from victim to survivor. They were there for me in the immediate aftermath of the worst day of my life and even days and years later. From an exam, to medications, counseling, and opportunities to tell my story, I contribute my healing to the help I received from them day 1 and I do not think I would be thriving as I am today without them. Our community is lucky to have them!
I am grateful and honored to partner with this organization to serve those who are at their most vulnerable point in their lives. I am impressed by their leadership, compassion, eagerness to serve the community, and willingness to partner with other community organizations to assist victims and provide the best care.
My family has been associated with the Victim Service Center since the founding and are grateful for the amazing service to the community. I have personally seen the transformation of lives and the organization itself grows with the lives it saves. The value of care and support the VSC provides is beyond earthly values. This organization lifts people from pain and sorrow to a new life of possibilities.
I have had the opportunity to work with several non-for-profits. They all serve the community in areas that are in need. VSC is one of the organizations that stands out among the non-for-profits. The services, attention, and love they provide is immeasurable. I am honored to be a friend.
I am involved with multiple nonprofits that I believe are making a positive impact in the community at large. VSC is one, I have been supporting for 13 + years, and am a believer in the cause they address and the work they do. More so the team at VSC is awesome.
This is such a great organization. It is such a blessing for central florida to have a place where victims of sexual abuse or violent crimes and receive free support, counseling , and outreach.
I began at the victim service center as an MSW intern in 2019. This opportunity allowed me to make a shift in my career that I had looked forward to after many years of being in school. Not only was this excitement and passion fostered by the team and supervisors, they allowed me to connect with my clients in many creative ways while refining my skills as a counselor. The opportunities that presented themselves at Victim Service Center were experiences that I consider to be invaluable. While the nature of the work is sometimes difficult, the real reward is being able to help your clients when they are in a time of need. Job satisfaction at its best!
3 years later and I am now a full time advocate at the Victim Service Center. I now have the pleasure of fostering the passion and drive of incoming interns as they learn and grow into this profession.

I have been volunteering with Victim Service Center of Central Florida (VSC) for a couple of years. I love the services VSC provides to our community. I am proud when I get to tell people about what VSC stands for and how they can help all people who may need their guidance. I look forward to continuing to serve alongside the beautiful staff at VSC.
I was part of the team as a bilingual advocate for approximately 3 years and being able to serve survivors, was the highlight of my career. To this day I carry the stories in my heart and ensure that in my current role systems are in place to prevent sexual violence. VSC is a school of life, with the ability to display the reality of life, but also enforce how strong survivors are. I learned that healing is a reciprocal process where by creating a safe space we allow for growth but most importantly cherish the seed of hope. I have much respect, admiration and appreciation for all staff who works daily through the challenges of eradicating the outcomes of violence. I can attest that social change starts at VSC but it takes a community to continue granting better quality of life to those served. #ForEverAnAdvocate ❤️ -RA
VSC was there for my daughter when she was raped. VSC began supporting her at the crisis center collecting the rape kit, meeting with detectives, throughout the legal process, attending every court appearance with us. There is no way a victim can seek justice on their own, navigating the legal system all the while experiencing tremendous emotional anguish. Thank you!
I am always impressed by the care and compassion of everyone who works at VSC. I know that when I refer an employee or student there for support, they are going to receive the best care possible. I am also blown away by the knowledge of presenters and the willingness to share information about prevention and support with all members of the community.
I was sexually assaulted in 1991. Back then there weren't a lot of places victims could go for help. So I spent most of my life suffering in silence. When I learned about the VSC, and all the things they did to help victims, I decided to become a volunteer so I could let others, like me, know that they didn't have to suffer the way I did. I have been volunteering with them since 2011, and I have personally witnessed some amazing recoveries along the way. The Victim Service Center does so much for our community. They were the first on the scene during the Pulse tragedy. They provide therapy, group sessions, and educational programs all throughout Central Florida. I don't know where I'd be today without them.
I support VSC because it helps so many people start and go through the difficult process of healing.
I support VSC because it changes lives of people who have been victimized by violence as well as some of the most vulnerable - their children - by helping them escape the circumstances in which they find themselves being victimized and providing them with resources to forge a different path going forward.
I support the Victim Service Center of Central Florida because they provide the highest quality support services to the members of our community who need it most...when they need it most.
I volunteer for the VSC because no one should have to face a violent assault or trauma alone. The Victim Service Center of Central Florida gives survivors resources to start the healing journey with a team of supporters behind them. I am grateful to live in a community where survivors in 3 counties can count on access to care, crisis response, and counseling.
The Victim Service Center is an amazing non-profit organization because they are fully committed to advocating the rights of sexual assault victims. They are passionate about helping these clients to access the necessary resources to get assistance. VSC is a pillar in the Central Florida community and strives to save lives and help victims not just survive, but thrive!
I support the Victim Service Center for the wonderful service they provide to Victims. While they treat all victims of traumatic events, they specialize in Sexual Assault, providing care and compassion to people after a horrific lifetime event occurs. The incredible Victim Advocates at the VSC helps people begin their healing journey, and helps them navigate their path to recovery through the legal system and offers counseling. Our community is a better place with the VSC.
I support VSC because I saw first-hand what they did for the survivors and families of the Pulse tragedy. I see the statistics for the number of people they serve and while it is sad and astounding how many people fall victim to sexual abuse and other trauma, VSC does not let anyone down.
I support and donate to the Victims Service Center because they help people when they need it the most at no cost. The service provided benefits not only the victim but their families as well.
As the father of a college-aged female, I was inspired to donate my time and support for the VSC because of its commitment to providing counseling and support to victims of sexual assault and violent crime at no charge.
VSC is an amazing place to volunteer. The staff is so kind, helpful, and dedicated to their work. Volunteering for VSC has been such a rewarding and educational experience. They are great!
I volunteered on a committee and helped with a project. I have found the staff and services that offer to be most helpful. I was not served by this center but am a surivor who wished that I had been able to access a service such as this. The services that they provide are for all types of victims not just sexual assault. I was impressed with the staff and how devoted they all are. There services are free and in this day and time with break-ins and robbery there is a place to call to help you deal with the aftermath. I have their numbers in my phone for emegency to give to someone who might need it. I hope I never need them as a client but it good to know they are there.
