I am a volunteer knitter for Knots of Love. I used to donate my hair to Locks of Love until I couldn't stand waiting for it to get long enough. I felt so bad that I had to find another way to help. Last year was my first year to donate. I had set a goal of one hat per month. I ended up sending over 30. It's a wonderful organization and they are always so thankful and encouraging.
