I have been crocheting and doing crafts since I was a child. I was so delighted to learn about Knots of Love and how I can now use my love of crocheting to help someone else. I crochet beanies for people who are undergoing chemo therapy and have lost their hair. The beanies not only keep their heads warm, but also, through fun colors and styles make the patients feel good and loved.
Each order that I send to Knots of Love is received and followed up with a phone call to let me know where my beloved caps being shipped to.. Sometimes to a place where veterans will receive them or to children's hospital or cancer center. I am honored to have my beanies distributed across the country, bringing the love that I put into making the beanies onto the heads of people in need. I can only imagine all that is needed for these connections to be made by Knots of Love to keep the beanies in route to those who need them.
I am delighted to read the heartfelt letters that are shared from the recipients of the beanies from Knots of Love and the difference these beanies make to those who are suffering. Knowing that I can use my talent for the good of others is so rewarding for me as well as the service it provides for the patients. I look forward to continuing to use my skills to create more beanies and hopefully soon NICU blankets to babies in neonatal ICU incubators. I appreciate the outstanding work that Knots of Love does to make this connection between crafter and patient possible and recognize the value that this service provides.
