My Nonprofit Reviews

Of the hundreds, if not thousands of nonprofit organizations I have connected with over the past 50 years, The Love Foundation stands out for several significant reasons. First of all, every individual I have met who holds an official or volunteer position with the organization beautifully expresses unconditional love which is the primary focus. That has also been true in the three substantial Facebook communities the foundation provides for even greater opportunities for cooperation and collaboration: Loving Earth, Inspiring Unconditional Love, and Global Love Day. My primary partner and I have established a couple of nonprofits including Planet Blessed which we were inspired to create to help individuals, organizations, and communities be better able to cope with the global pandemic. After publishing our initial book Bless the Mess Mindful Sur-Thrival Guidebook that provided 53 mindfulness exercises, affirmations, and featured resources to help readers enhance their positive mental attitudes, creative problem solving capabilities, and manage their emotions, we were introduced to The Love Foundation. We were amazed at the depth and breadth of the programs and resources they provide.

As we discovered how many powerful and beautiful positive, uplifting, and inspiring messages The Love Foundation has shared in its more than 20 year history of substantial service, we asked for permission to use a few of Harold W. Becker's quotes to supplement the daily Mindful Blessisms for Love, Relationships, and Forgiveness we were planning to publish each day in February 2022. We were gratefully surprised when they not only granted the permission we had sought, but actually went far above and beyond by providing an inventory of relevant quotes AND images that incorporated the quotes for us to share as supplemental resources in our daily newsletters and social media posts.

Then, we were thrilled when they invited us to share our positive uplifting content every day on all 3 of their Facebook community groups. Our evolving relationship with the foundation means I need to select a few of the listed roles. For example, as a member of the general public and a professional with expertise in the field, I have been blessed to serve as a donor, a client served, and more recently as a volunteer.

In addition to interacting with hundreds of nonprofits, I have also helped establish, manage, staff, fund raise, facilitate cocreative visioning and strategic planning, and operate scores of NPOs and have helped generate millions of dollars in grants, donations, and sponsorships. The only other NPO I have ever worked with that comes close to how outstanding The Love Foundation is in every meaningful way would be the Institute of HeartMath which also far exceeds expectations.
