Review for Fetching Tails Foundation, Itasca, IL, USA
We lost our senior German shepherd in December of 2019. We had him for 14 years, and he was the perfect boy. He was 130lbs of love. He was so patient, and he helped our other two dogs learn house manners, and showed them the ropes. After his passing, we knew we wanted to add a third dog, but no pups seemed to be the right fit with our grumpy cattle dog. We looked for over a year at multiple dogs through many rescues. In December of 2020, a beautiful Great Pyrenees mix came to Fetching Tails Foundation, and surprise, she was pregnant with 8 babies! She was fostered by a close friend of ours, and we were able to meet and help care for the puppies at 2 days old! We fell in love with a little "cow" named Mahomes. We took him home to foster, along with his sister Shuffle, and as soon as he arrived we knew he was never leaving. He had a wonderful temperament, and he got along perfectly with our "difficult" boy, as well as our sweet and gentle pittie mix. Mahomes (now Remington) is one of the best puppies I have ever encountered, and we couldn't imagine our lives without him in it. He's currently 1 year 2 months old, and pushing 110 pounds, and we're so excited to have a "giant boy" back in our lives.
