As a "forever foster" Mom, and long-time donor and volunteer, I've had the pleasure of spending time at "OPK" in the general shelter operations and - now for several years - as a Medical Ambassador in the medical facility. I've witnessed first-hand the love, care and compassion - and sometimes heartbreak - of the vets, vet techs, and kennel staff. I've seen the medical group go "above and beyond" in bringing cats and dogs back to health, or as close to healthy as they can be. There is no doubt that any animal loss is a loss felt by the medical team. I would not spend so much time here, and donate so much money here, if I did not know it to be a first-rate organization. I'm proud to be associated with this organization.
