Review for The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation, Littleton, CO, USA
I can't use enough words to describe how I feel about this organization; after our 3 year old daughter's sudden and unexpected diagnosis of a rare childhood epilepsy with hard to control seizures, we have gone through the entire emotional spectrum. Scared, anxious, stressed, worried, depressed. When I found the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation I honestly did not think we'd be lucky enough to qualify for a seizure monitor, and assumed we would have to struggle even more with our financial burdens. I emailed the foundation and within hours received a response back with recommendations and an application form for a monitor. I was curious about another monitor and was torn between the two, and not only did they help us with one, but they helped with both! I cannot express how shocked, overjoyed, and overwhelmed with gratitude I was. We are now relieved, can finally breathe and not worry every night about a potential nighttime seizure. We also feel especially assured that we can track our daughter's sleeping and respiratory patterns overnight too.
I was working directly with Julie Hutchison herself, Chelsea's mom and co-founder, and felt instantly that we connected and I have never felt this way about any charity or Foundation. My only wish is that we lived closer to them so that we could physically support their fundraisers and events, and maybe even get to meet the family that has helped us and so many others.
