We reached out to several dog rescue/adoption groups after the tragic loss of our one remaining dogchild. OPH had the dog that seemed to suit our lifestyle the best. Their website, photos and lengthy descriptions really helped to cement the choice. Throughout the process, they responded quickly and with a great deal of respect and additional information. It was obvious that they wanted to find the RIGHT home for this dog, not just A home. They were very candid about Madi (the dog we adopted) and her issues, so when we brought her home, there were no big surprises and we were well prepared and ready to handle the issues she did have. She had been with OPH for about 9 months, with two adopt&return occurrences prior to our adoption. Each one was well documented and complete medical records (for the 9 months they had her) were given to us. The entire staff at OPH has been more than helpful and supportive, including offering free online training and adjustment seminars for the adopting families. Madi is settling in beautifully and we have assured her that this is her forever-home. I would choose OPH when the time comes to adopt again.
