Review for Homeless To Home Cat Sanctuary And Animal Rescue, Marion, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Readers, please be advised that the review by Jennifer Y is an ongoing attack to discredit the work of this organization. She previously tried posting these comments claiming to be a volunteer, which has never been the case; therefore anything she comments would naturally be questionable. GreatNonprofits removed that review, obviously as a violation of their policy. We believe intelligent, thinking people would see through her review in light of being poorly written and the accusations therein, compared to our hundreds of positive reviews elsewhere. Her comments are based on speculation, assumption, absolutely void of facts, and a vendetta against Homeless to Home. We struggle to find a true statement in the entire review. It is impossible for her to speak to anything concerning this organization because she is not a part of this organization and never has been. She has no knowledge of policies, percentages, numbers, animals in shelter or adopted. The question is why is this organization the target of her witch hunt? She does not attack the local humane society and many others that do not do TNR and that do euthanize. This organization has never claimed not to euthanize. We challenge Jennifer to find that claim made by HTH. We receive many animals, mostly cats, turned away by other shelters that are damaged physically and psychologically as in abuse, depression, aggression, etc. When issues cannot be resolved reasonably, humane euthanasia is the humane answer. Euthanasia is never taken lightly or done indiscriminately. We go to great lengths working nearly around the clock to find answers for each animal. Why would she carelessly assume our fosters are limited to this city? Cages are not "stacked to the ceiling". There are two levels in some places. We are complimented everyday on our cleanliness and low odor. That is echoed many times in our Google reviews. Every cat in the intake area, once acclimated, is out of their cages everyday for hours; in fact they put themselves back if their gates are open. The Sanctuary residents have 24 hour access of the indoor-outdoor totally enclosed acre. The entire grounds and the animals are protected by a high tech security surveillance system. But Jennifer could not know any of this because she is not part of this organization. Several visitors who had previously talked to Jennifer tell us emphatically after touring the facility she lied to them. Why? Is she stalking us, counting cars in and out, calling us a clinic which we are not (although we do have those future plans). We have indeed expanded. We spend five to eight hours every single day educating. The current adoption fee of $100 for cats does not cover half of the vetting and what we provide for each animal. But Jennifer would not know that since she is not a part, and never has been a part of this organization. So why the constant attacks and the witch hunt despite having seen differently and been told differently? Her comments at this point are slander and malicious. The real tragedy is she is personally causing the suffering of animals she steers away from one of the only places that will accept them. Her time would be better served doing the work she thinks we are not doing.
