They have the sweetest cats, so I applied for one a few months ago. Never heard back, so after about a week, I emailed them. And got one response! Which I then replied to, adding a question of my own ... only to hear nothing back, even after reaching out to them several more times.

When sharing my experience, I learned that several other people (including those certified to work with animals, who should be more than qualified to adopt!) had stories like mine, often ending in either being completely ghosted (like me) or flat-out denied over the most minor of "issues." (in quotations because they aren't really issues at all)

I'm disappointed, but I also feel really bad for the cats-- they have to stay in the shelter, sometimes for several months or even years, and not a loving home. It's not fair to them.

Unless something changes, I will not be recommending this place for pet adoption.
