I have been volunteering at Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen for 17 years and it is the one place I know where my volunteer efforts make a difference in someone's life. The years of "Thank you's " and God Bless you all" mean something to me. It is my way of giving back to New York City and all the wonderful things that the City has done for me. I have spent at least 10 Thanksgivings at Holy Apostles serving food and working in the prep kitchen and it was always nice to see the efforts pay off. How many volunteer jobs can say that?
