I first came to the shelter as a volunteer with my 12 year old. I adopted our green cheek from Greater Chicago Caged Bird. My parrot was caged in a cage that was cleaned daily. He was given fresh fruit and vegetables every day. The monthly veterinary care and testing gave me comfort my bird was healthy! 4 years later we are a happy family ruled by the smallest bird in the house!
