I started volunteering with The Taylor Family Foundation back in the summer of 2004 and haven't stopped since. All you have to do is look at the smile on one of their camper's faces to know that they are making a difference in the lives of children living with chronic or life-threatening illnesses and children with disabilities. Campers get to just be a kid when they are at camp without worrying about what other kids will think or say and parents get a respite, knowing that their kids are in a safe, caring environment. Besides camp, which is probably what they are best known for, they offer music therapy and they help families who are experiencing financial distress due to medical bills.
