My niece went to celiac camp for the first time this year. She is a very shy girl, but absolutely loved camp and can not wait to go back next year! I’m so very happy that she was enjoyed it and she said everyone was so very nice and helpful.

I have been involved with TTFF for many years and they are a great organization! They are well run and really have a heart for kids. Over the years I have seen them grow and change to meet the needs of the kids they serve and our organization is proud to partner with them.
Thank you TTFF for providing a camp experience to so many deserving kids!

I have been volunteering with the Taylor Family Foundation for nearly 25 years. The commitment they show and demonstrate to their mission of serving the children and family's is truly amazing. With a drive to keep expenses down, moral up, and deliver the best product they can is what continues to bring me back year after year. In addition, the number of returning volunteers each year is proof of support the foundation has to continue their mission serving challenged children of Northern California.

I've been a volunteer for Taylor Family Foundation for over 20 years and before that I was a participant at their Day in the Park fundraiser. I became a volunteer because my customer who I took to the fundraiser was so enamored with the organization they became volunteers and recruited me. It was a very easy sell to become a volunteer because I also believe in their mission of providing outdoor and therapeutic activities to children and families who would not otherwise have the opportunity. The organization does great work because the staff are so passionate and dedicated to the cause. And all of that starts at the top with Elaine Taylor who started the organization with her late husband Barry over 25 years ago. I can't think of a better way to give back to the community than getting involved with Taylor Family Foundation.

Every day at one of the Taylor Family Foundation Camps is the best day ever. Each camp week offers kids with critical and life-threatening illnesses the opportunity to be just themselves with others were just like them. It’s a joy to volunteer, it’s an honor to donate and this organization leads with its heart and soul giving back to the families and communities at all times. I’ve been involved for over 25 years and it is My favorite charity.

It's magical when you see kids with illnesses or special needs find someone else "just like them" and be given the freedom (and encouragement) to play. The Taylor Family Foundation is just this place. Through summer camps and year round programs, they provide the most amazing personal experience for so many different groups of children. I have been part of TTFF for 19 years and it is my nonprofit of choice for money, time and personal energy. I have referred parents and children there for camp, tell almost anyone who will listen about this amazing place in Livermore, CA. I laugh when I hear the stories of first time attendees and their joy of doing and cry when a child passes on due to cancer or brain tumor or some other life altering illness. This organization IS the spirit of generosity and I love knowing they are here.

This place is better than Disneyland to the children and families it serves! Such an incredible non-profit that stays true to how and where it spends its donations. I started out as a camper here, and as I grew up I interned there throughout high school and now am a volunteer every year! TTFF's commitment to their kids and families is unmatched- it is a place so many can call home. It provides kids with a safe place to open up about their experiences and feel 'normal' when they feel so out of place in the world, and it gives them the most invaluable support system of peers and role models. This past year alone I was a bridesmaid and maid of honor for two of my best friends that I met at camp! It creates lasting, meaningful relationships for kids who need it the most. My gratitude ad appreciation of TTFF and their staff is immeasurable, and I know this is the case for everyone they touch with their love and light.

We are grateful for this foundation. It allowed our granddaughter to attend Camp Go Beyond for kids with Crohn's disease and other IBD issues. She was able to meet kids going through the same thing. The staff is amazing. We appreciate everyone and all their love and support. Thank you Taylor Foundation for allowing this camp to happen. The facilities are beautiful.

So grateful to this organization for providing a camp experience to our daughter who, otherwise, would never have the opportunity to go to sleep away camp! The facilities were beautiful, the staff was amazing and the experience of having an abundance of safe food options will be one that my daughter never forgets. Thank you!!!

I had the opportunity to Volunteer with my Acelis Connected Health Team this Summer and was able to learn about the way this Foundation meets and exceeds the needs of our Challenged Youth.
The selflessness of their staff and volunteers to provide a place for the Kids to be Kids is invaluable.
This program has been and will continue to be a major source of hope for the families they serve.

Best wishes for all their work!

Taylor Family Foundation does a tremendous job supporting Kara's annual bereavement camp for children and youth. We had 87 kids attend our 2019 camp with the support of 55 counselors and volunteers, and the camp was once again a huge success. The accommodations, food offerings, and site amenities are top notch. Our kids enjoyed activities like horse riding, ropes course, zipline, swimming, and comfort and care experiences, including comfort dogs, music therapy, and the always-popular art yurt. Taylor Family Foundation works well in coordination with Kara's Camp Director to make every camp experience a positive outcome. Taylor Family Foundation also supports Kara's annual spring fundraising event, offering donated items that we can include in our auction packages. I strongly recommend Taylor Family Foundation, Inc. as a partner to non-profit organizations meeting the needs of the greater Bay Area communities.

The organization that I volunteer with, the Exceptional Needs Network, has been holding a camp at The Taylor Family Foundation's Camp Arroyo for 17 years! I also volunteer at their Fundraiser, Day in the Park. The devotion, care, and compassion that the Taylor Family Foundation exudes is never-ending! They truly are amazing people!!!

The Taylor Family Foundation(TTFF) is an amazing organization that provides camping services to children with Life Altering issues. For many groups it is the only Camp that offers this kind of service for them. Their issues are extreme and each groups Staff and Medical Team Provide the help to make it an enriching experience for each and every camper. Many leave camp never to be the same. They have new found friends and greet each other each with exuberance. For many it is the only place that they can swim, ride a horse and experience the great doors with special provisions for each group to help provide a safe, fun and long lasting experience. They get to be a normal kid with other children with the same afflictions and find that they are not the only one suffering from that ailment that sets them apart from most children their ages. They share stories and experiences that help them cope in their daily life away from camp.
TTFF also provides support for the families of these children and so many other nonprofits in the area. It's not just the campers and families that benefit but the many volunteers that it takes to make the camps a success. Many organizations from around the Bay Area pull together to help provide programming for the campers while at camps. Being at Camp is magical and awe inspiring. It is a beautiful setting tucked up against the Del Valle Hills, one the many parks that the Bay Area has to offer.
TTFF's Day in the Park Fundraiser is an amazing event. Many individuals and corporations, celebrities from the many sports teams in the Bay Area, TV announcers, etc, come together to raise funds to support the endeavors of this organization. It is a magical event just as camp is Magical for the campers and their families.

I became a part of this organization when I was 5 years old. At birth, I was diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and my life had been forever changed. For the last 14 summers, I have been going to Camp Sunburst sponsored by The Taylor Family Foundation. In The Taylor Family Foundation, I found a safe place where I could be free to be myself!! I felt a sense a family and comfort around me, something I had been searching for because I have not always had the best home life. Without help of The Taylor Family Foundation, I don't know where I would be today. I have made so many life-long friendships and had experiences I may have never had without them:) I finally feel as if I am accepted and wanted by those around me and that I don't need to hide who I really am, I show all of me!

The Taylor Family Foundation does an unbelievable job for children with chronic conditions and life threatening diseases. Not only do they offer Camp Arroyo which allows the kids a chance to just be kids and have some fun (in a safe, wonderful environment), they are also there to help the children and their families year round. They do so much it's amazing, and what's even more amazing is they do it with only 4 paid staff. I count my blessings that my children are healthy, and I know I would be so thankful to have TTFF if my children weren't.

Taylor Family Foundation provides free camp to children with chronic and life-threatening diseases. It is a week where the kids can just be kids and not have to worry about doctors or being different. My girls look forward to camp all year round.

Taylor Family Foundation provides a service that many forget -- helping sick and disabled children enjoy time away from their illness and daily stress to enjoy a day, night and week at summer camp. My son Robby, who has autism, has been fortunate to "camp" there for the last ten years. It has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of his life. Not only does TFF provide this true camping experience for children with disabilities - they do so for free. That's right, each camper attends at absolutely no cost. The cabins, meals, activities are all provided at no cost due to the generous benefactors of the organization. Whether a child has autism, AIDS, a heart or skin condition, or is bi-polar or physically disabled, Taylor Family Foundation is there - every single summer - to help them experience summer camp. Elaine Taylor, the founder, has poured her heart and soul into this camp -- and it is is literally beautiful. Cabins, swimming pools, pastures, ropes courses, arts and crafts facilities, and a full service infirmary ensure all have a good time. This is truly a non profit organization that is the 'best of the best!'

Regardless of ailment or illness, TTFF never ceased to amaze me in their dedication and commitment to each and every child and their family that spent any time at camp. As a volunteer with TTFF, the memories I made with children from different camps throughout the summer are experiences I will never forget. Each child opened my eyes to a different view of the world and really put into perspective for me the importance of each and every life. Simply put, TTFF caused smiles on children's face camp-wide and that's something that is truly priceless as well as life-changing for anyone involved.

The Taylor Family Foundation works tirelessly to provide amazing once in a lifetime camp experiences to children with chronic diseases/ illnesses and at risk youth at no cost to families. Not only does TTFF send children to camp for experiences such as smores by the campfire, climbing the rockwall no matter what your abilty, horseback riding in the meadow or swimming in the pool in a wheel chair but The Taylor Family Foundation mission also includes assisting children and their families going through life-threatening illnesses. Wheather it be providing an iPod to a child going through chemotherapy to get them through a treatment, or providing transportation assistance to a parent to allow for their child to get to their doctor, TTFF goes above and beyond to assist children in need in Northern California. The Taylor Family Foundation is an amazing organization filled with amazing volunteers and staff!

I am a volunteer at Jacks’ Camp—a Taylor Family Foundation camp. Jack's Camp is for pediatric brain tumor survivors. The Taylor Family Foundation (TTFF) provides a safe, supportive, helpful and rewarding camp for the kids (patients), siblings, and parents. The whole family benefits from the activities provided at camp. I have made very strong connections with the kids and their families. I cannot think of a better place to feel my worth than when I am volunteering at this camp. Thank you Taylor Family Foundation for giving the kids a place to be Rock Stars.

Taylor Family Foundation is one of the best places in this country. For a child suffering from a chronic illness it is the only place they can truly be themselves. Being a counselor at their camps has impacted my life in many ways. To see what they can provide for children who are suffering is astounding, they really do change lives. This is the one place that kids can be kids-no matter how severe their health issues are, and they can share their experiences with children just like them-even if they are suffering from a rare condition. The Taylor Family Foundation really is the happiest place on earth.

I attended a seminar and learned of the camps offered by the Taylor Family Foundation. I had to convince my daughter that this would be of benefit to my grandchild with a disability. What a wonderful experience for all three generations. We learned, we participated, we witnessed the joy of being accepted as a typical child. It changed our family and reminded us that we all are imperfect but there is a place in this world for every one of us. We love the Taylor Family Foundation !

The Taylor Family foundation provides an amazing setting for Camp Opehay that is simply not available anywhere else. This oppty changed things dramatically for my son. He felt normal with common peers and treasured by incredible staff. With critical medication administration, this camp offers respite to parents and hope to children. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

i have observed the growth of the Taylor Family Foundation to become a full summer camp with weeks for children with different physical illnesses, from chronic to life threatening. What is better in the world than giving a week of fun and joy to children who were given less than a great hand at birth or as they aged? My main contact is with the fundraiser event and the TFF puts marvelous packages together including travel and concerts, as well as giving from their own resourc es including wine cellars, and is really great at getting other people to give generously because the cause is so righteous and they do such a great job with the camp and the kids.

13 year ago my husband & I went to the Day in the Park as guests of some friends. We both immediately fell in love with everyone associated with The Taylor Family Foundation. My 3 children, ages 27,25,15, have volunteered along with us. To see first hand how you can personally make a difference in a child's life is amazing. Over the years many of our friends have joined us in doing whatever we can to help. I thank God everyday for my three healthy children, and thank God everyday for introducing me to a foundation that is truly run and attended by His Angels.

I cannot put into words how this camp transformed my daughters life. Sammi was a shy, introverted girl that was "different" from her peers. This made it tough at times & the experiences that she shared with others that also had CD at camp changed her into a proud & positive young woman. The experience was so beneficial she began to volunteer every summer for every camp she could possibly participate in. Sammi is off to college now to study non-profits. She wants to give back for her professional career. Now....tell me is that life changing or what? One proud Mom!!

My 7 year old son went to Camp Wonder last summer for the first time and he loved it! He has a rare genetic skin condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa. It is the first time in his life that his bandages were taken care of by anyone but myself and his father and it was a much needed break. He was able to just be a kid and his "special skin" was not an issue. He made a lot of friends and you could feel the love that the staff has for our children. We shared stories and tips with the other parents and had a great time too! My husband and myself were blown away by the generosity that was extended to us and our 3 year old son who also has EB. This was the first vacation we were ever on as a family due to the major medical expenses we have from the 2 kids special EB bandages. God Bless everyone affiliated with TFF and believe me, this is an organization that thinks of the kids first!

Camp Taylor allowed my daughter to experience camp in a very special way. They show love and encouragement, compassion, and scars can blend and kids heal one another. This is a very special foundation. My daughter has learned so much from the staff, and the campers. It's all she talks about till the next summer. God bless the people that help keep this wonderful magical place going.

The Taylor Family Foundation provides a great service to children with a wide-range of illnesses and disabilities. The money that is given to TTFF is wisely spent and over 90% of it goes directly to benefit the children. It is a well-run and well-organized Foundation, with staff and volunteers that truly love and care about the well-being of children.
