Anytime someone tells me they are considering a new pet, I always ask them to start with Operation Kindness. This organization has saved the lives of many, many cats and dogs in North Texas over the past four decades. They have also provided help for the pets of many people in need through their pet food pantry. Operation Kindness staff at every level treat animals and people with respect and decency, and the care they provide to homeless pets is truly excellent. Every pet adopted from Operation Kindness has benefited from individualized veterinary care and where needed, behavioral support. I’ve been a shelter volunteer there for a couple of years and have fostered over 30 cats and kittens for them. I’m proud of that because they’re an exceptional and excellent organization all round.
