I have had the opportunity to meet many clients and service dogs from Starfleet. All clients that I have met have been very happy with their dogs and their role and provided supports in maintaining the training and care of their service dogs. The dogs themselves have all been very well trained and well- socialized to large crowds of people and other dogs with various levels of basic training. I have also met dogs who are in the process of being trained with very kind trainers who explain the rationale behind the training steps and how to interact with the dogs while they are in training in a kind and accessible manner to the general public. It's always great seeing an organization trying to make the world a better place, especially for people with disabilities who can be ignored, misunderstood, or treated differently by society.
