I have volunteered with Rutherford Housing Partnership in helping to build handicapped ramps for citizens of Rutherford County. When we get to the site, the materials are waiting for us to build. There is always a seasoned volunteer that knows how to complete the task on hand. I am an amateur but have enjoyed learning new skills (using a miter saw) (Thanks to Bill F. !) Staff and other volunteers come by to check on us. I have been impressed with the number of families and individuals we have been able to assist. The families are so appreciative of what has been done. The volunteers and staff don't boast of their accomplishments, except to raise funds to help even more citizens. It is great to see the citizens of Rutherford County pull together to help those in need. I think the Rutherford Housing Partnership has been able to improve living situations in the county and hope that it will continue to grow!
