Review for Pusong Pinoy (Heart of a Filipino), Chino Hills, CA, USA
Even before Distance Learning, teachers of Viva Antipolo Elementary School were struggling to provide students with the supplies they need in school. Below average income households often cannot afford to provide classroom supplies and teachers don’t have choice but to spend their own money to stock their classrooms with everything from basic supplies to technology and sometimes snacks for their learners. Our school is located in Brgy Pagsangahan, San Francisco, Quezon with 8 teachers including the school heads and180 leaners from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Teachers will endure 2 hours of travel in going to school via motor ride from the town proper. This school is the poorest school in the whole town, facing numerous challenges like scarcity of classrooms, books, ICT equipment’s and facilities. That’s why teachers are doing their very best in finding partners to help them realized the goal of giving quality education despite of pandemic. When I was informed by Maam Donna Rosario, that our school had been chosen and sponsored by Pusong Pinoy.Org to receive hundreds of slightly used books and clothes and financial support worth of 96,000 pesos to feed 123 learners for three months. No words could possibly express how happy I was that day, Thank you so much Heroes and Superheroes of Pusong Pinoy. Because of your donation and financial support, we have been able to purchase snacks for our learners that made them excited and hopeful every day. It is so exciting and rewarding to see the parents receiving bundle of snacks for their children. Your donation and heartfelt giving have been an inspiration to keep our learners motivated and continue their education despite of pandemic. Thank you is not enough for all your kindness!
