I fell into this charity without knowing much about it at the time. That was 28 years ago and I been with it ever since. When you see the dedication of the staff, the number of people who regularly volunteer, and the generosity of the supporters and community at large, you know you have found something very, very special. This foundation and the legacy they are leaving behind is one of love and compassion. Barry and Elaine Taylor had a vision, a place where children could be children, in spite of any disease or medical condition that may be challenging them. This camp allows them to experience things that are usually out of reach for them. Activities, living conditions and meals are all tailored to their specific needs. Imagine a child with Celiacs eating a doughnut, many for the first time. Or a child barred from swimming because of the necessary chemicals, splashing happily in the water. They meet other children who also face the same challenges and know they are not alone. Every smile and peal of laughter warms your heart and is the best reward you will ever receive.
