As most children have healthy hearts, the special needs of the hundreds of children each year whose heart fails requiring a heart transplant are not widely appreciated. Enduring Hearts represents these kids and their families to ensure that they will live a full life. Enduring Hearts is solely dedicated to finding solutions to the threats these kids and their families face. There are two strengths of Enduring Hearts. The first is that the fund raising is driven by dedicated families of kids with a heart transplant. The second strength comes from selecting research that is highly focused by the expertise of its volunteer medical team. They guide the funding of research dollars to the life threatening problems of the very kids they care for each day. This partnership between families and health care providers has proven to be both efficient and highly effective in solving problems for the kids with this special need. I have seen this partnership in action and can assure all that many more of these special kids will be our next adult leaders in caring for future children whose lives will depend on receiving a heart transplantation.
