Review for Tobias Project Inc, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Tobias Project, Inc. is the only organization in Columbus, Ohio that I have identified that does on-site or mobile testing for HIV/AIDS and other STDS free with same day results and counseling. Eddie Jones, the Executive Director, provides dynamic leadership and works on the front line with his team. I am proud to be a Tobias Board member because I represent a wonderfully caring organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The on-site activities and mobile clinics that they conduct.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Put Eddie Jones our current ED in charge as he is now, and give him an assistant and a secretary.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Top notch staff who serve the total community.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Highly trained, professional yet approachable

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand their mobile and on-site testing for HIV/AIDS and STDS and provide counselling about this health care problem and promote responsible sexual habits to include all of Columbus as a target community.

Ways to make it better...

I have had only great health education regarding this health care problem and wonderful experiences with the Tobias staff.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The amount of education that needs to be done in the Columbus community concerning HIV/AIDS and STDS. The HIV/AIDS and STDS problem has not gone away, it's just hiding among our youth and people with irresponsible sexual habits.

One thing I'd also say is that...

The Tobias Project, Inc. provides a much needed service in parts of the community that do not have benefits of health care. They are on the front lines of a massive health problem trying to stop the spread of this dreaded disease one person at a time.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Board Member & Fundraiser Activity.
