Review for Center for Biological Diversity Inc, Tucson, AZ, USA
First, I just returned from San Diego, where CBD was prevented from ensuring protections to cetaceans from unnecesary navy sonar games during migrations. I was watching grey whales and dolphins struggle to orient themselves away from a military exercise instead of enjoying a glimpse at an amazing migration from Alaska to Baja. Even so, I look at the amazing success CBD has in helping endangered species in the West and feel ashamed and sorry that Virginians have no such professional organizations with great capacity to protect our own. We, too, have extraordinarily biodiverse mountains, but the coal companies seem to have locked up any possibility of protections. We also have the splendor of the Chesapeake Bay and Dismal Swamp, but mercury from coal, military bases, shipping, and disgusting CAFOs lay claim to the waters as their toilets and right of way demolishing of abundant biodiversity. More power to CBD! Open an office in Virginia, please!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
distributing biodiversity-themed condoms advocating population control, donating, click-activism, sending advocacy e-mails in response to stories, visiting areas targeted by their law-suits.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
increase their capacity, expand their abilities to untangling East Coast 19th century legal boons to wildlife-exterminating corporations, grant Kieran Suckling a Nobel prize, have them explore the implementation of Constitutional ammendments to give nature standing.
