Review for Great Escape Mustang Sanctuary & Training Network, Deer Trail, CO, USA
GEMS is a sanctuary like no other. They have helped so many horses. When Snowman came to the sanctuary he just walked off the trailer and walked away. I burst into tears. I had never seen him like that. But I have visited the sanctuary. I have stayed in the cabins right in the middle of the wild horses land. It is amazing to watch them come in for water in the evening. You have to be very quiet and just take it in. I knew that if anyone could help Snowman they would do what ever it takes. The tour that Debbie gave me was informative. The staff is so friendly and their hearts are truly in the right place. They are celebrating 10 years of helping the wild mustangs. I can’t wait to celebrate with them on Nov 6. Go visit. You will be so surprised. Thank you Debbie and Michelle and all the rest who make it happen day in and day out.
Review for Skydog Sanctuary , Malibu, CA, USA
I knew nothing of the wild Mustangs until January of 2020. Channel 7 news had an article about Picasso. I was hooked. I then accidentally found Skydog sanctuary. The videos show the horses jumping off the trailer to their freedom. Claire keeps us updated everyday with some new pictures videos and story’s about the horses rescued from kill pens, feedlots. In so many cases the horses are depressed sad and have given up. Her team takes the horses to Bend Equine Center for the best vet care. We cry with her when a horse passes on and we cried happy tears when Dreamy was brought back to her former self. Seeing everything the sanctuary does for the horses and then seeing them running wild and free as they should be warms my heart. Claire will also tell you how to get involved in passing the SAFE ACT 3355 so that the American Mustang can not be sent to Canada and Mexico for slaughter..Claire and her team are hands on and I am thankful I found her sanctuary. My dream is to volunteer at Skydog.
