My recent trip to Washington D.C. with fellow school principals and administrators from Palm Beach County, organized by Insight, was nothing short of transformative. Our visit included tours of the African American History Museum and the Holocaust Museum, two institutions that profoundly illustrate the resilience and strength of the human spirit.

At the African American History Museum, we journeyed through centuries of history, culture, and contributions made by African Americans. The exhibits were meticulously curated, offering both depth and breadth of information. Each artifact and story provided a powerful reminder of the enduring struggle for equality and justice.

The Holocaust Museum was equally moving. Walking through its somber halls, we were confronted with the harrowing realities of this dark chapter in history. The personal stories, photographs, and artifacts presented a stark and poignant reminder of the atrocities that occurred.

A particularly impactful part of our visit was listening to the testimonies of two survivors. Their firsthand accounts of resilience, courage, and survival added a deeply personal dimension to our understanding of these historical events. Hearing their stories was a privilege and a humbling experience.

Insight's organization and attention to detail ensured that our trip was educational, enlightening, and profoundly moving. This experience has undoubtedly enriched our perspectives as educators and administrators, reinforcing the importance of teaching history with empathy and accuracy.

I highly recommend Insight for any educational trip. This journey was an unforgettable opportunity to connect with the past and draw inspiration for the future.

Roots and Wings heavily supports Pine Grove Elementary School. Roots and Wings works with our administrative team to provide free tutorial to our students as well as incentives to keep them motivated. In addition, Roots and Wings also recognizes 6 members of our staff each trimester. They work with our surrounding community businesses to provide a bag of goodies and treats to each recipient. Roots and Wings continues to support us year after year and we truly appreciate all of the help they give in recognizing our staff and pushing our students to their personal best.

Roots and Wings has continued to support our school over the last 6 years that I have been at PG. Each trimester they surprise and celebrate our teachers who go "Above and Beyond". They support our literacy program by purchasing materials and provide funds and incentives for our tutorial program. There are times when you see different organization once at the beginning of the year and may not see or hear from them again. Not Roots and Wings! There support is consistent and ongoing. They not only provide the supports but they also visit to help in monitoring of the programs as well just to visit our students and staff for other reasons. At the end of the year they then celebrate the teachers at a beautiful gala! Very fancy and a lot of fun.

Roots and Wings has truly become family members of Pine Grove Elementary School. With everything, they are there to support our families and staff. I can't thank them enough for all they do for Pine Grove and other schools in our community.
