Review for Danny & Ron's Rescue, Camden, SC, USA
Let me introduce you to Selma! This beauty is not your average snuggle bug, but rather a “love me from afar and maybe scratch my ears when I allow you”. Selma had always had interest but it’s hard to place such a fuzzy beauty you simply can not snuggle. But DRR was committed to her for life at the doghouse. I met Selma and allowed her space to just be. I knew her a couple months when I offered to foster her. I was blessed to be trusted with her here in my chihuahua compound ☺️ She quickly made connections with my chihuahuas and slowly claimed her place in my bed on the pillow next to mine. DRR asked that I be her forever home and I agreed to adopt her. Selma won’t ever be a snuggle bug but she lets me reach out at night to “hug” her by letting my lay my hand on her. I know their dedication to her so I know the trust they gave me with her adoption. She’s a true sweet soul who is so lucky to have been taken in by a rescue knowing she was going to be challenging to socialize. I’m forever grateful they did.
But that’s only one of MY stories, I have been witness to many a kindness to adopters AFTER their adoptions. From donating in hard times to medical bills, putting up fencing for owners in need.
I’ve witnessed them travel to Louisiana before hurricanes to bring homeless pets in need out of harms way, donate thousands of pounds of pet food in Florida and help locals track missing beloved pets.
A true rescue who is all about the dogs, but also about the people in need. ❤️
Thank you Berkely for your thoughtful story about Selma! Thank YOU for adopting and for fostering so many of our little ones! We appreciate YOU!
