I have 3 great rescues from Danny and Ron's! Bridgette, Pearl and Andrew. The care and dedication of the staff is amazing! Always so positive and friendly to work with. They all go above and beyond taking care of the furry kids they save and adopt out.

This rescue will always make sure these dogs go to a good home.

I can not, can not say enough about Danny and Ron’s Rescue. They are the most compassionate group of individuals I have ever met. I first interacted with the rescue back in 2017 when I moved to South Carolina for work. Later that year Elmer the dachshund became a part of my family. He later became the Dogs on Deployment dog of the year and is featured in a children’s book. This happened all in part because of the work the rescue does. Elmer wasn’t given much of a chance by anyone else but Danny and Ron’s gave him a second lease on life. He’s one of a kind like thousands of the dogs rescued to this date. The amount of work done by the rescue still amazes me and I know they will continue their mission to rescue dogs and find loving homes for them. Wishing all the best for rescue in their never ending journey to help those animals in need.

Danny and Ron’s is such a blessing. Our family cannot express enough how grateful we are of their organization and the kind hearts and support they provide for all fur babies they take under their wing. Our babies Hunter and Jasmine (RIP), lived their best life the day they came across our paths, for many years. Now our recently adopted baby boy Tucker, has stolen our hearts. He’s a great fit and we love him more than life and living his best!! So thank you to the best rescue with the biggest hearts.

My 18 year old beagle mix passed away in December of 2021. While I grieved her loss I knew I wanted another dog younger but definitely not a pup. I have long been a fan of adopting mixed breed dogs and when I could not find my perfect match at a local shelter they referred me to Danny and Ron's rescue. In January with the help of the wonderful people at this rescue I found my current best friend and loving girl Dottie. She has been wonderful from day one. She is very social and came well adjusted,spayed, micro chipped up to date on vaccinations and even house trained! I can't imagine our home without her. She brightens every day. I am so thankful this rescue is able to do the work that they do.

Our family took a Danny & Ron's rescue dog into our home in March. She was a sweetheart and a really nice pup, but for several reasons we unfortunately were not in a position to give her a forever home. The foster Mom was so kind and supportive through the whole process and helped us with getting the pup back to the rescue. They did not make us feel bad at all that it didn't work out and I would highly recommend this rescue.

It takes dedication, a heart of gold, and a lot of money to care for all the dogs the way Danny & Ron do. Many of the dogs have come from sad situations and often require surgery. They have given these dogs a genuine second chance at life to start over and live the rest of their life being loved and cared for the way they deserve, with a family that fits that dog and their needs perfectly so that they never have to go back to a shelter, or be abused, or go unloved, or live in pain. The entire staff at Danny and Ron's has each of the dogs' best interest at heart and cares for them like their own. There isn't another rescue quite like Danny & Ron's that goes above and beyond to welcome 60+ dogs into their home with staff working around the clock. These gentlemen are truly selfless and should be commended for what they do.

I first learned about Danny & Ron's Rescue when I adopted my little Chihuahua soulmate, McCoy, in the summer of 2015. Danny & Ron had rescued McCoy (a.k.a. Koby) from a Miami-area shelter. They later connected with Paws For Seniors in Virginia, an organization that focuses on finding senior pets forever homes which is where I met McCoy. I will be forever grateful to Danny & Ron for taking McCoy in and for the series of events that followed resulting in me adopting him.

I have been a supporter of Danny and Ron’s Rescue for several years now. I follow their work on social media and continue to be astounded at how many dogs they take into their own home, or find other permanent, loving homes for. Their work even extends to countries like Aruba where so many dogs live on the streets. Any natural disaster such as hurricanes and tornados are like a magnet to Danny and Ron. They must get there for the sake of the animals. Recently, I have gotten to know Danny and Ron a little better, and they are true hero’s, and exceptional humans, with hearts as big as all outdoors. I am honored to be a small part of their rescue work.

Just watched “Living in the Doghouse” documentary on Netflix. Amazing non profit story of 2 men that have rescued over 12,000 dogs. Watch it, your heart will melt, have Kleenex handy.

This is a first class organization with the lifelong welfare of the dogs in mind. They take go above and beyond to make sure a dog is provided for medically as well as go the extra mile to deal with any behavioral issues. When placing a dog, great care is taken to match the dog and potentially adopter and of things don’t work out the dog is always, without exception, welcomed back to the rescue. My experience with Danny and Rons rescue has been nothing short of wonderful! Very impressed!

As a part-time employee of Danny and Ron's Rescue, I have seen the staff's commitment and love of animals firsthand. Everyone there will do whatever is necessary to care for the rescue dogs and to find them the best homes. On a daily basis, the staff demonstrates an amazing ability to manage the various emotional and physical needs of a houseful of dogs. And BELIEVE ME.........YOU WILL GET A NEGATIVE DIAGNOSIS ONCE YOU FOLLOW THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS. THE DOG WILL LIVE. The Heartworms are SLOWLY being Killed upon the first dosage of treatment

This is the first (and likely only) dog rescue in which the founders remodeled their entire home for dog rescue (that I have seen). Rooms set aside to foster multiple dogs, that I have seen from many kind people. And on the IRS form 990s, the executive officers (i.e. the founders) do not receive any compensation, also noteworthy. Note: Payment of compensation is common as executive officers are often involved in daily operations, and they need funds so they may eat and have shelter. And especially noteworthy for this rescue as they remodeled their entire home.

I first learned about Danny & Ron when I watched the documentary, “Life in the Dog House”. They have devoted their lives to rescuing dogs❤️ They take them into their own home, give them any needed medical attention and lots of love until they find them forever homes. They have saved thousands of dogs from unspeakable conditions . They continue to inspire me with their huge hearts and compassion for animals. I watch their impact grow as they not only rescue but educate.

The first exposure I had to Danny and Ron’s rescue was when I first watched their documentary. Their message resonates true compassion and service to and for animals. I purchased a copy of their documentary “My Life in the Doghouse” and share it all the time that has moved several to adopt from rescue shelters or the local humane society. Danny and Ron are dogs angels on Earth. They will go as far as needed to ensure a dog has a fur ever home. Each pup is taught love, care, and socialized. Three of the greatest dogs ever! Two of the most caring people ever!

I first learned of their rescue efforts from their movie"in the Doghouse". I am so impressed with their hands on efforts at disaster recovery situations where animals are often forgotten. Living with their animals is a special experience for the animals. As an animal lover I said all they do for dogs

My German Shepherd had to have surgery. I didn't know how I was going to pay for it. I did a Go Fund Me page and Danny & Ron's Rescue who didn't even know me saw it and called the vet and paid my bill in full!!! I am so grateful for these two men. I am starting a second job in the next week to hopefully pay them back in full. This is an exceptional rescue. Love and thanks for all that you two do. If you can't adopt - please, please donate.

Danny and Ron, Saw you guys on the 9 o'clock show. I have so much respect for what you all do. I live in the Gaston/Swansea area of SC and have been involved in rescuing horses and dogs. Danny and Ron's Rescue takes otherwise hard-to-adopt dogs and provides a great home for them (in an actual home) until they can be adopted to loving homes of their own-this includes medical and social rehab as needed. If the dog can't find a forever home, then it will live out its days at Danny and Ron's home in South Carolina. The rescue is well run by folks who are in it for the right reasons and care very deeply about the animals they rescue. If you want to learn more about their rescue, there is a new documentary out called Life In The Doghouse which explains how the rescue came to be and a background on its founders Danny and Ron.

Danny and Ron's rescue has such a special place in the heart of me and my family. These 2 men are angels. The love they have for dogs is unmatched. I truly believe they live to continue their work of saving every dog they can. I have helped and worked with other rescue groups and although most of them have the best of intentions, Danny and Ron are in a class by themselves. Wish I could give 10 stars.

Danny Robertshaw and Ron Danta along with their wonderful team are the absolute most genuine people in rescue that I've ever met .I have fostered for them and adopted a dog as well .I have seen Ron at the vet with an armful of dogs on more than one occasion . These are very dedicated individuals that are located in a community of caring animal lovers . I had the opportunity to see how animals were placed with perspective owners
They made sure that the dogs they were placing were going into homes corresponding with not only the personalities and needs of the dog but also with the life style of the adoptive family and their current pets and children that would have contact with the adoptive pet

When he digs are rescued they live with these dogs and care for them before placing them to see what their needs are .
Their volunteers that help are enthusiastic and caring .
This is an authentic caring group of people that have changed the lives of dogs they have rescued and the families that have come to love them.

I adopted my dog from Danny and Ron's Rescue. They are by far the best rescue! All of their dogs are "family" as they live in the house with Danny and Ron. I love, love, love my rescue dog, Sketch! He is such a sweet boy. Danny and Ron show each and every rescue such tender loving care and work hard to see that their needs are met until they go to their forever homes. I can't say enough good things about this rescue where every dog is treated like a "top dog", never to be homeless again!

There are not enough words to describe the Founders, Staff and volunteers at Danny & Rons Rescue. When you call and say "I have this dog in dire need of help"' the answer is always "I'll take him/her". When you're at a shelter picking up 2 dogs and find 2 more little ones who are shaking and scared because of the big barking dogs around them and you call Ron, you will always hear "bring them too". This is their home. The kitchen is filled with dogs, As is every room! When you walk in, this is home with dogs being loved, hugged and cared for.

When the local shelter was closed for Distemper Virus, there they stand taking dogs from owners who need to surrender their loved ones. Just to be sure no dog becomes abandoned elsewhere or put in a worse situation.

You don't worry about answering the scrutinizing questions most rescues ask like "Are they HW Positive? Have they been spayed/neutered? Up to date on vaccines?" Because all the dogs will go directly to the vets office for a complete exam, vaccines and treatment as necessary to begin the road to perfect health.

When they took a trailer load of supplies to Louisiana shelters because of the floods that affected so many vast areas, they come back with 32 dogs who would have been euthanized because they were not adopted prior to the flooding. They had to make room for the incoming animals. Danny and Ron had to bring them home. I received A call for volunteers to meet the van on Saturday morning. Many people showed up to bathe, love and help them get settled in. The staff was prepared to deal with the number of dogs and volunteers in such an efficient manner we were done in no time. They even received collars with their new names! Monday morning again the staff and volunteers met at the vets office where every dog received an exam, vaccines, a new chart created for each, meds if needed. It was amazing to be a part of this well organized group!

These people do this out of their own pockets and hearts, with help from the public by fundraising and donations. Mostly out of their own pockets though. If you have ever had any doubt about who to donate to or who deserves the help, please go to YouTube and look at The Dog House videos. They will show you their home and every room is filled with dogs. They share their home, personal money and time to ensure every dog is healthy and every adopter is appropriately matched with their forever baby. If, for any reason, the match is not suitable the dog can, without question or retribution, go back to the doghouse.

These people are angels on earth. PLEASE consider donating to this wonderful organization!!!

I have fostered for Danny and Ron's rescue and have also adopted from their rescue as well. They are a top notch organization and truly share a passion for the dogs they rescue. I also live in Camden and have been to their home where the dogs live. The people who work for them are caring as well. I can't say enough good things about them except that I am glad that they exist. If you are looking to donate to a great rescue you have found one in Danny and Ron's rescue.

Our story is simple. We were desperately lonely after the loss of our beloved "Bear" a Schipperke. We finally decided it was time to seek another companion. I called around and was referred to Danny and Ron. I talked to Ron and asked if we could come that very day to look at adoptable dogs, and in a few minutes we were on our way to their home in SC. We were amazed at the number of adoptable dogs they had, and at the friendliness of the dogs. They were obviously well caared for and loved. We looked at several when my husband saw a little brown one outside. The caretaker there brought her in telling us she had come from Missouri and was somewhat afraid. I took her and held her and she immediately crawled up my shoulder and proceeded to smother me with puppy kisses. I handed her to my husband and she did the same thing! I said I think we have bonded and my husband agreed. We took her home that very day.

At the time we didn't know what breed she was or much about her. We learned she was a Chihuahua and her name was Susie Q, which really didn't maatter to us as we knew she was the one! Needless to say, this little 9 lb. brown girl, full of life and fun, has mended our broken hearts and filled our lives with joy! We consider her a God-gift! We are thankful to Danny and Ron for bringing us together. They are personable and care about their clients and their dogs! Many thanks! We love Susie so much, and she loves us!

Danny and Ron's rescue is an amazing place. Danny and ron, the volunteers that selfless give their time are the real heros. They are amazing people. They give their time up to rehabilitate these wonderful animals. These animals who have seen, experienced or witness horrors and felt tragedy. Animals that came from abusive, neglectful homes or the owners were just unable to care for then anymore. These dogs, after experienced this, changed, and these two guys want to help these animals to be happy. They open their home and give these animals a safe haven, a home too, until they are ready to open their hearts again. Not just do they open their home, but their wallets too. they love these animals so strongly, that they make sure that these fur babies get excellent veterinarian care and the procedures they desperately need. I have and will continue, to recommend this rescue to everyone and anyone I know or meet!

Almost every dog we ever have had has been a rescue. I have also worked in equine rescue and dog rescue and can tell you that Danny and Ron's Rescue is exceptional in every way! We adopted a pekingese from Danny and Ron's Rescue in September 2012. They arranged the transportation from SC to NY and everything went very smoothly! Our new little dog was exactly as they had described him.....only better! We loved the experience so much that we adopted our second dog in November 2012 and again....the experience was amazing. Ron was concerned that we might not understand Kosmo's needs so before we adopted him I had a long conversation with Ron and could hear the compassion and concern in his voice. He didn't want to misrepresent the dog and have it returned and us unhappy. We are thrilled! We love Kosmo and because of Ron's conversation we have made adjustments so that Kosmo is happy and healthy.....and our 2 new dogs have their forever homes because of Danny and Ron! The entire staff is amazing and our only problem is.........we don't have a house big enough to adopt more! Thank you Danny and Ron for your love and compassion for the animals that need you and this tireless, often times thankless job called rescue!

Danny and Ron are two extrodinary men who have dedicated their lives to rescuing abused and neglected dogs. My fiance' Russ and I have adopted 4 of the most wonderful dogs ever. There is nothing more rewarding then coming home to happy barks, wagging tails and doggies kisses! These dogs are the loves of our lives, and they have also revived my 14 year old Brittney ... she thoroughly enjoys her new brother and sisters. I would also like to say, besides Danny and Ron, there are three of the most amazing women I know ... Karen, Jennifer and Kim who help tremendously with the care, fundraising, etc. for this wonderful organization. Bottom line ... it's all about the dogs, giving them the love and care they deserve and in return they give back unconditional love. If you want a new fur-baby in your life, this is the place to find that special dog!!

These guys do great work and save many lives!! It is all about the animals and not any CEO making 6 figures. When I donate to this rescue, I know my money goes to the animals care.

Not only have I adopted a dog from Danny & Ron's Rescue I've adopted two! Both from abusive or neglectful owners so they were a bit of a project. But it was the faith from Danny & Ron that I would be a good mother to them both that I will always be thankful for. Both dogs have become the loves of my life.
Its a no brainer when it comes to adding a new member of my family that I will adopt and not shop for a dog and I will always adopt from them. Their devotion to these poor souls that have been abused or thrown away or rescued from puppy mills is exemplary. No two better men do I know.

Amazing work that they are doing with amazing people. I am from Ontario, Canada, and I got my dog Blink, through Amanda who works with them. Can't imagine my life with out my dog now :)

Danny and Ron are two amazing guys who truly LOVE the work they do and the animals and the dogs they save. Anyone who spends a few minutes with Danny & Ron will see right away that they consider the D&R Rescue as their life's work -- to rescue and re-home dogs. The dogs live in their own home and farm, learning to live and love again before being placed in the best forever home. Thank goodness for people like these two kind people.
