I've had the honor to work with HIP as a grant writer in the past, and now serve on their board of directors. Access to culturally relevant food can be such a challenge for those who are already struggling with food insecurity. HIP is very community-focused and listens intently to program participants. HIP is also very fiscally responsible. I'm constantly amazed by how far they stretch their program resources while also hiring really top notch, compassionate people to carry out the work.
