I have always loved horses and as a little girl, horses were the very first thing I learned to draw. It has always been my dream to be with horses but live vicariously through others who are actually in a position to do so. The charity closest to my heart is Skydog Sanctuary for many reasons. Their integrity, genuine love and respect for horses, mission to reunite families and provide a home for victims of the brutal and heartbreaking Bureau of Land Management roundups have had an overwhelming impact on me, resulting in Skydog being the main charity I support. With compassionate devotion and unwavering dedication, Clare Staples continues to fight for the freedom of America’s wild horses and burros and I stand with her, in any way that I’m able to, to reunite families that have been ripped apart by the ruthless helicopter roundups, who have been abandoned to suffer knee deep in disgusting BLM corrals and kill pens and forced to survive horrible injuries, neglect and disease. Clare and Skydog not only rescue special need horses and burros, but brings families and friends together, restoring hem to the magnificent, beautiful treasures they are, to run wild and free as God intended.
