I found Skydog because my daughter followed them on instagram. I was at first taken and moved by the beautiful images of horses running free through thousands of unspoiled acres, but it was through Skydog that I began to learn about the plight of wild horses in the western United States and in Canada, where I live. Skydog informs through positivity and optimism and they are saving not only these wonderful , sentient beings, who have stories and beloved families of their own, but also a part of history and the natural world that should move us all. I am not of the "horse world", but through Skydog, I have come to appreciate these sensitive souls and the fact that they deserve to roam freely on their ancestral lands. I find the organization to be responsive and appreciate in a way no other non-profit or rescue I have been involved with. It is very clear that Claire's heart has been given without reservation to every horse, donkey, and mule on her land. It's wonderful to witness.
