I can’t say enough good things about Skydog Sanctuary. I have been supporting them for 4 years. Their mission is to return at-risk mustangs to a near-wild living: acres to run, with the added advantage of medical care if needed. These are mustangs that have been abused and/or dumped in killpens. They also adopt older horses from BLM holding that are not good candidates for training, and where possible, reunite family bands. They frequently post videos and photos so you can follow the progress of their rescues. They take excellent care of the horses, and have been requested on multiple occasions to take injured or sick horses that might otherwise have been euthanized. The horses thrive under their program. I completely trust that my donations are being used effectively. I also appreciate that they work with other rescues, which benefits everyone.
