Born out of a passion to bring change to communities one person at a time, Just One Africa impacts the Kenyans they serve by partnering with local leaders to provide sustainable solutions including clean water and orphan care. I had the privilege of seeing the difference Just One Africa is making in summer of 2021 when I joined a small team to visit one of Just One Africa's partners in Kenya. During two days of water filter distributions, I witnessed approximately 150 individuals (representing an untold number of friends and family members) receive education about the sources of dirty water, information about proper hand washing techniques, and training on how to use their new water filters. During follow-up visits in the homes of people who had received filters, I heard testimony after testimony of life transformation: "The water was making us sick. With the filter, we are no longer sick." The implications of this are far-reaching for these individuals, ranging from children who can return to school to pastors enabled to travel to more people.
