A year ago, after we lost our last bunny to an illness, we were ready to open our home and hearts to a new bun.

We had been inquiring with shelters and this girl caught our eye. She was listed as “special needs” because she was aggressive towards everyone. I felt we could provide the right environment for her to thrive.
Bunny Buddies Houston has an application process to ensure their buns for to good homes which was reassuring. They also have an incredible network of dedicated volunteers and fosters - and they made the hand-off happen within a couple of hours! A member was nice enough to drive her directly to us.

Lucy (now named Lucyfur) has become a big cuddle bug and enjoys all the attention and freedom as a free-roam bun. Thank you, BunnyBuddies for making our family complete.
