Review for Sustainable Harvest International, Washington, D.C., DC, USA
While on a trip to Belize I was able to spend a day with SHI helping build a water reservoir for a family. I also learned about the various other projects SHI did to help local families to farm in a sustainable way and to preserve the rain forest. I have been proud to be an SHI supporter since that day!
Review for World Class-Ghana Inc, La Grangeville, NY, USA
I was privileged to see first hand the work for clean water and sanitation that World Class-Ghana is doing in villages near Accra. There is no question that important needs of local people are being met. Just as importantly, local people lead the way to the production of a new well or latrine. World Class is very respectful of the opinions and needs of the people they serve. Anyone who supports World Class-Ghana can be sure their efforts are making a positive difference in the lives of very poor people.

Review for Trees, Water & People, Fort Collins, CO, USA
I was so excited to find Trees, Water, and People! This organization gets right to the basics and helps groups and individuals all over North and Central America preserve their environments while improving their lives. Planting trees, building solar heaters, learning about clean air and water. Supporting this organization lets me expand on what any individual can do in these important areas. In 1975 I saw what deforestation was doing in the mountain areas of Kashmir and determined to do my part to improve that situation somewhere. Trees, Water, and People provided me with the perfect vehicle!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
From TWP I learned about Justa stoves that reduce the use of firewood for cooking and greatly reduce smoke in homes. I was so excited to actually see one in use last spring!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
expand even further the opportunities for donors to visit and take part in the activities to improve lives and the environment. I would investigate the possibilites of this sort of visit for young people.
