As a forensic nurse who cares for abused children, I understand how vital this unique non-profit organization is. Tragically, finances sometimes make it difficult for a loving parent to get an abused child out of an abusive situation, replace necessities taken as evidence, or replace items that remind a child of the abuse. SACRED helps with these things, providing immediate financial assistance to families impacted by child sexual abuse. All families are referred by Child Advocacy Centers. I volunteer for this organization because I believe in their mission, and have seen the dramatic impact SACRED has on helping children heal from abuse.
